DA/ART STUFF:
You may have noticed there's been very little in the way of art here. You may not have. Sorry about that, guys. It'll come, eventually. Things keep getting in the way, is all. Silly life.

And I haven't been commenting much either. Apologies. I have very little to say, but all your stuff is amazing, mmkay?

REAL LIFE:
Bombarded by assignments, tests, and general work. Currently in the midst of pretending like Year 10 matters. It doesn't.

Had Relay for Life on the weekend. I personally didn't raise much, but our team raised about $500, and altogether we raised over $150 000 for cancer. You can donate here, if you would like, but I understand that most of us are just poor students here. ^_^

TAG: (from =thezules)
10 things you like: rain, chocolate, music, books, the internet, my friendlings, fun spinny dresses, fluffy animals, eyes and small children (no, NOT in a creepy way, promise)

3 things that make you happy: flute lessons, meep and deaningful conversations (especially in the dark) and intelligent people.

3 things that anger you: people who are obsessed with "individuality", math class and those girls at Relay...

10 things that you hate: watching people do funny things with eyes, high expectations, deadlines/due dates, too much makeup, running out of time, rap, teachers trying to make lessons "cool", secrecy, wrong grammar and spelling and when things don't go to plan.

3 facts about your name: My friend's viola teacher calls me by my last name. My surname comes from German and meant 'salt'. I never get tired of watching people try to pronounce/spell my name.

5 facts about yourself: I went to a Lutheran primary school, but I'm agnostic and they probably couldn't handle me now. People think I'm more intelligent than I actually am. We used to keep snakes, but sold them. If you yell at me, I will either burst into tears or yell right back. I love to learn, but school is a waste of time.

2 things you expect (at least for now): I expect that we shall receive the 'expectations' lecture from our teachers at least twenty times between now and the end of the year. I expect, also, that my maths teacher and I will end up in a screaming match in the same time period.

4 random thoughts: I should be doing my assignment. I'm so glad I skipped the athletics carnival. I think my legs are less sore. I have flute ensemble tonight.

Song you're listening to (give artist): "If You're Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows)" Rodney Atkins. Yes, it's country. But it's so much fun. ^_^

I'm not gonna tag you. Don't worry.

Well, for those of you that don't already know, today is Traditional Art Day on dA. Wooohoo!
Given that I haven written a journal since June (:O_o:), I figured it would be a good opportunity. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to ~deknarok!

In trying to decide who to feature, I discovered that most of the traditional artists I watch are at least reasonably well known. This artist, however, has only 223 pageviews! (Admittedly she's only had a few months on dA...) Please, this is a situation that needs to be rectified. :)

Because I have no subscription (:sniff:) you shall have to put up with links, but, in the spirit of all that is traditional art day, I demand you to go look at them. :)

Bound.less

Her pieces have a wonderful loose, surreal feeling to them, and I'm especially a fan of "Bound.less". :) Plus, there are pretty patterns. *squee*

And, she's from Thailand. So that automatically makes her awesome. Well, what are you still doing here? I thought I demanded you visit her page!

Go!

..no. Really.

Go.

...

...

Look, I'll even give you a link!

Her gallery is here!

Have you gone yet?

...time for an update, methinks. (+features for yo

I just didn't want to push the pretty CSS-journal off my page. :) Even though my sub ran out over a month ago. XD

I really don't have a lot to say right now, other than that I've posted up a few new 'works' since I last wrote.

In all honesty, I couldn't be bothered keeping up two blogs, so if you really wanna know what's happening with me, I'd suggest: [link]

And, to give some point to this journal, the first 5 people to respond will be featured, since I need to do the 'chain game' again. No need to continue it, but if you want to, then go for it. :)

LiveJournal, Features, Self Portraits

In Art

Who would've thought I'd ever post self portraits, of all things? XD Well boy did I prove them wrong yesterday. :P Not sure why, just had a sudden compulsion to take my own photo. Weird. Eh. ...enjoy, I...guess.

In Other News

I've decided I'm going to start posting somewhat regulary on my LiveJournal. :P Soooo, if any of you have one, which you use...you should let me know so I can add you! Or you can add me, my username is purpleobsessed
Aside from that, just been sitting around in front of my laptop. :P Oh, and emptying out the garden shed. Started on Suzie's birthday present (even though her birthday's not until November...) and Mum's as well (not much better...hers is in August. :P) Ah well.
